Don't think we have had anymore snow but its bitterly cold. Listened to a chap on the news yesterday from the mett office who says this weather may go on for at least another two weeks with more snow.

More snow during the night here in Cornwall and freezing cold. At least my gas boiler has been fixed

Had to cancel the bingo night as down came the snow at 6pm. Its now freezing hard.
We actually had our road gritted early this morning and then later along came the road sweeper and swept it all up

Its looking a bit white out there this morning and its freezing cold. Redruth British Legion Bingo is back this evening. Hopefully people will venture out in the cold after the two week break.

Just been into Redruth its very icy, pavements slippy & no grit anywhere. What are County Council playing at ? Have we run out or did they not order any in the first place Maybe they are keeping it until the summer months.

Bingo returns to Redruth British Legion tomorrow so must finish buying the prizes. Very difficult after Christmas as nobody really wants to win chocolates etc. Have already bought a CD radio,wine & glasses and some household goods so shall have to see what else I can find.

Great new set up at Cardrew Industrial Estate,Redruth. New clinic with a Dr there from 8am - 8pm 7 days a week, 365 days a year. No appointment needed just walk in and get seen within half an hour.It dosn't matter which surgery you are registered with. Fantastic.

Still freezing cold and icy in Cornwall. My gas boiler can't be repaired until Tuesday as the repair man has to get a part . Just have the electric fire in the lounge!! Went to bed last night with layers on ( not a pretty sight ) and three wheat bags heated up in the microwave

I was going to Carbis Bay for a couple of nights with my sister for New Year but have had to cancel as I feel so rough. Hope we don't get charged for the rooms.

Not feeling good today have a bad cold or virus and still have mum staying!!!! Hope I feel better for New Year.

Thought it was supposed to be the season of goodwill. I went shopping yesterday just for a few items in the supermarket. What a nightmare, everyone pushing and shoving and rude. I think the shops are only closed for one day What a greedy world we live in.

Freezing cold again in Cornwall. Had a nice evening at a friends yesterday & got to watch the Sun newspaper's Heroes awards on ITV which was good.Such brave people.

Going into Redruth for some bits of shopping this morning & then at a friends this evening to take her xmas present and have a drink . Next week this time Christmas will be all over

No snow but bitterly cold this morning. Staying in today, presents to wrap and chores to catch up on. My son and grandaughter here later to collect presents as they are going away for Christmas.

Lots of showers today, rain, sleet & snow. Hope it dosn't freeze tonight or we will be skating around tomorrow. Went to Morrisons shopping and everyone seems to have gone mad all for two days!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a sprinkling of snow at Gulval last night.We didn't do very well in the quiz Its still bitterly cold this morning. Hope to get some of the Christmas food shopping done today.

Off to Gulval near Penzance tonight for the monthly quiz in the village hall. Its always a good night so hope we don't get snow and not be able to go.

Redruth British Legion was busy last night for the Christmas special and everyone had a great time. No bingo now until 5th January. Raised some money to buy tins of biscuits chocolates etc for Grenville ward at Treliske Hospital

Redruth British Legion will be busy tonight for the Bingo Christmas special. There will be lots of great christmas prizes and cash to be won plus some brilliant raffle prizes. The bar will be open as usual and hot & cold refreshments will be on sale.

Hope to get to Mousehole this week to see xmas lights. All around that area the lights are brilliant. With boats lit up in the harbour and lots of festive decorations on land and sea

My daughter on a 12 an a half hour shift at the hospital today so an early start for me. Got to sort girls today. Freezing cold this morning & frosty. Maybe we will have a white xmas

Truro was packed with shoppers yesterday & some roads blocked off as there were market stalls and a hog roast. I had fish & chips in the warm with Mum

The children did a great job singing in the carolaire but it was cold standing around in the playground.Then the school xmas fair so many people crammed in the school hall it was a job to move!! . Off to Truro later today to do some xmas shopping.

Lots of Christmas goodies for prizes at the Redruth Legion bingo tonight. Joints of meat, bottle of gin, tins of sweets & chocolates etc. Next week is the last Bingo evening before Christmas so it will be a special one.

Watched Rod Stewart on ITV last night. He is still looking good and the music great. I didn't realise he had battled with cancer.

There was a choice yesterday go and listen to stories with Santa or go to her cousins and watch the DVD G Force. G Force won, so I had to sit through a film with talking hamsters, guinee pigs etc . Very cleverly done though.

Good quiz at Carnkie last night our team came 5th. All being well I am taking my grandaughter to The Cornwall Centre at 2pm to hear Santa reading stories

I have a child free day today I love them to bits but nice to have a break. Quiz night tonight at Carnkie village hall so will be going to that.Its a good evening even if my friends on the quiz team get a bit heated and take it very seriously

Spent most of the afternoon making a costume for my 7yr old grandaughter for the school play . She is supposed to be in a brass band. Managed to get a black jacket & hat in the charity shop. Plenty of glue, gold ribbon & me short tempered she should look a treat . My daughter owes me a large bottle of wine

Still blowing a gale & heavy hail showers. Must go into Redruth today and finish buying prizes for tomorrow nights bingo night at the British Legion. Only need two more prizes so maybe a beef dinner for one prize & bottle of whisky for the other

Very stormy in Cornwall during the night, I had to secure the shed door at 2.30am !!! Its wild & wet this morning. Got Mum coming for lunch today, roast chicken on the menu.
