BEAUTIFUL NIGHT by Sunshine - Its dark and cold not much light So I find my joy in the sky to night A big round moon with his face so bright Giving us warmth on this winter night Beautiful stars that sparkle and shine All most stand still as if lost in time Such a beautiful place this world can be If we look around the wonders we see Night has its beauty as much as the day The silence a bonus as we here the trees sway And as the world sleeps I await the new day Praying and dreaming of love ones far away. ~ Written by Sunshine.......

We did have a gas open fire but never turned it on Sue! Sorry not much help to you really. I think if I were to have the choice I would go for an open fire with logs or coal. Just my opinion......

FREE, your halogen fire sounds good for the bank balance!!

We are contemplating buying a new fire and surround at the mo. The thing is we like an open fire so would prefer to have a gas fire with an open front but when you look around the salesroom you keep seeing notes that say 'this fire is 68per cent efficient and this is 84 per cent efficient. The only thing is the 84 one is behind glass and I am now torn between my cosy looking fire at 68 and a 'stove' at 84 percent. Cosiness versus money saving. I can't decide!!!!!!!!!! any ideas on the subject my friends???????
