AUTUMN’S ARRIVAL
Blue water tongues carve mountain sides
Pure singing into ocean tides
Rich ruby, amber, golden gems
Now carpet mother nature’s den
The living light that scraped the sky
Is cloaked in autumn’s cooling sigh
The beasts of warmth and chill alike
Prepare for winter’s bitter bite
Tick tocking towards a season’s death
Life shall renew in springtime breath

I HAVE AN UNDECIDED FACE
I have an undecided face
Genetic pool swims tranquil grace
In beauty there is power held
Refuse, abuse, it's mine to weld
With punctured peace from thieving looks
Comes etch-a-sketch that’s roughly shook
Class 101 art amateur
Distorted lines, caricature
Slip sliding eyes will never yield
On cartoon face, protective shield

SAVAGE SURVIVAL
You know nothing about the savage survival
No praying to God in foot stomping revival
I know you say that you listen but do you hear?
And tell me what does it take to open your fear?
I always swat away words of sorrow from sin
You need to buckle your mouth until you step in
As you wake every morning to new light that’s born
What life have you salvaged that’s ripped crumpled and torn?
