BEAUTIFUL NIGHT by Sunshine - Its dark and cold not much light So I find my joy in the sky to night A big round moon with his face so bright Giving us warmth on this winter night Beautiful stars that sparkle and shine All most stand still as if lost in time Such a beautiful place this world can be If we look around the wonders we see Night has its beauty as much as the day The silence a bonus as we here the trees sway And as the world sleeps I await the new day Praying and dreaming of love ones far away. ~ Written by Sunshine.......

VAGRANT FLOWER

:love flower power loving and giving
no more fighting only forgiving
gypsy caravans love buses too
hippies and families travelling through

round the camp fires spinning yarns
probably squatting on somebodies farm
women with long skirts and hair in plaits
talking to similar and having a chat

STORMS

:rain3: the wind is howling the sky is grey
The sea is rising and its gloomy spray
The little boat rocks from side to side
With nowhere safe and know where to hide

I am afraid and very scared
As the bowson lets off the distress flares
We need help now quick and fast
As lighting as struck and knocked down the mast

The crew are working with all their might
as we are all scared and filled with fright
The little boat is set to sink I fear
AS we don our life boat gear

Terrified into the sea we leap
In the dark waters rocky and deep
I pray to god we will be saved
But perhaps this is to be a watery grave

Out in the distance a appears a light
What a welcome wonderous sight
As we are pulled from the waters deep
following one another like gods sheep

Now in one voice we all rejoice with cheers
Knowing we were lost and faced our fears
thank god for the life boat that found us then
And saved us all from being drowned men
Many a child was born at this time
no none dreamed of commiting a crime
love not war was what was preached
hari christianer is what was teached

living life without a care
having many a love affair
glad this life is in the past
now I have returned home at last

peace and love

Hello, Freedom!!!

Well done for all. I love the mention of long ago.. Were there hippies in it? Hard to tell.. But I was one.. Peace and all that good stuff. Long, blonde hair down past my waist.. Heaband made of Swede wrapped around my forhead. Long tie die skirt, no shoes.. Peace signs painted on my cheek.. Yes... Most certainally was a hippie!!!
Miss those days. All felt right with the world. Love, not war was the motto for all.
I even begged friends to take me to 'Woodstock' that was the most thrilling thing I have ever done in my life!!!! Yes, I was younger than all of them, but after my begging over and over, they finally gave in. The best three days I will ever spend!!!!

You have such a tallent for making your work come alive as one reads it! I felt each sentence caress me. I wanted more! Glad you have found your way back home. I too have done so. As it says in the song by the Beatles... 'All you need is love"
I agree. We all love you to death!
You are wonderful........ :friend1 :friend1
