NIGHT VISION by Mike ~ The stars came down on us that night creating a low ceiling, We tasted mists of morning reeling through the pines. A spark from some untended pyre burned truly in the middle air. Once stoked finely by the host of human tread, It bled, refined into a rapier before our eyes. We strained to grasp the pattern of its flight But lost our vision to the fading night. Written by Mike.......

PostHusband in bath

So I have taken over the computer chair!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you all? What have you been upto today?????????

We went for a long constitutional today the weather had quite a bit of feel good factor about it, although it was blinking cold.

My grandaughter stayed behind at school for a camera club so we didn't pick her up till late.

They know so much about modern technology and only at the tender age of 6. I only have to ask and both of them can put Granny right!!

Going to buy a gas fire tomorrow, ours is past its best, so I see some very cold , very messy days ahead as they put it in.

I have a fear of gas fires really, anybody out there the same?

Have a good eve
LOTS OF LOVE SUE

Well you make the most of the computer chair Sue..... Yes the grandchildren do put me to shame at times it reminds me of when I was young and at that time I thought I knew it all then with technology! and that was just the switch for the T.V. My, how things have changed.

I wouldn't have thought there was too much to worry about with gas fires as they have to pass numerous tests before they get the OK. we don't have one here but did at the last house and it was fine. Good luck anyway.

Thank you cath!!!

It's just me age showing LOL. I'm still stuck in the coal age, dirty but safe!! Those were the days when the coalman came to the kitchen door, without his coaldust he would have been frightening :affraid affraid

I remember him telling mum that a sack of coal had gone up to 8 shillings, a lot of money in those days.

FREE, your halogen fire sounds good for the bank balance!!

We are contemplating buying a new fire and surround at the mo. The thing is we like an open fire so would prefer to have a gas fire with an open front but when you look around the salesroom you keep seeing notes that say 'this fire is 68per cent efficient and this is 84 per cent efficient. The only thing is the 84 one is behind glass and I am now torn between my cosy looking fire at 68 and a 'stove' at 84 percent. Cosiness versus money saving. I can't decide!!!!!!!!!! any ideas on the subject my friends???????

We did have a gas open fire but never turned it on Sue! Sorry not much help to you really. I think if I were to have the choice I would go for an open fire with logs or coal. Just my opinion......
