Well they aren't going to get rid of those......... horns that are buzzing all through the footy. It's like chinese torture, and even a disliker of footy dislikes it even more because even I can see that there is NO ATMOSHERE!!!! :disgust1:

The day has been a good one, I hope yours has. I keep thinkin I got tomorrow off, but silly me volunteered to do an extra day.

We went for our constitutional as usual this morning, and then home to do some book-keeping.

We picked up our deliciously sweet granddaughter from school and after her late dinner/early tea we did...

Well, the world cup has arrived and love or hate footy, it certainly gets everyone in a festive mood. At this very moment I can smell the barbecues and no doubt the 'liquid' will be helping to wash the burgers down, AND THEN THE MATCH!!!!!!!!

Hi to you all, what have you all been upto on this glorious day. Me i 've been to work where for once the aircon was working properly. It was all going so well in our little cash office, the work was flowing nicely and we were heading for a normal finish.
It all went down hill when this massive bluebottle that has been the office pet for the last week decided to go for a swim in my coffee. I'm not sure wether he drowned or caffeine overdosed, either way I didn't get my coffee and we are in mourning for our pet LOL!! Then I dropped my yummy sarny on the floor and work in general went downbank...

Well here's Summer, and before we even start to sunbathe we are told there is a hose pipe ban in the offing!!!!

If they know we are not having enough rain why wait till the "WELL" runs dry. BUT isn't this our country all over!!

There i have had a moan and I am going back to the garden. Gosh i hate the heat!!!!!!!! LOLOLOL

Hope you are all keeping well, I looked at the clock when i logged on and gave myself 30 mins. As usual time passes quickly and I MUST get back to the VAT I am calculating.

Have had a good day at work, we are very short staffed at the mo so the ones still standing in our cashoffice are well pushed to get the hours in. We have 2 off having been in hospital, and 1 on jury duty!! The thing is the 4 of us left are all crocks ourselves

We went for a long constitutional today the weather had quite a bit of feel good factor about it, although it was blinking cold.

My grandaughter stayed behind at school for a camera club so we didn't pick her up till late.

They know so much about modern technology and only at the tender age of 6. I only have to ask and both of them can put Granny right!!

Going to buy a gas fire tomorrow, ours is past its best, so I see some very cold...

Well I have started the month off well, I have just turned over the calendar to February and discovered I should have been at the Dentists this morning!! Had it in my head that my 4 appointments were 2 weeks apart, I was wrong!!! Have phoned and apologised BUT I FEEL SO GUILTY. Other than that we have had a moochy morning, walked in the cold, quite happy, was probably thinking thank goodness I haven't got to go to the dentist today

I thought I would book my bottom onto the computer chair, vacated by my husband for a change. As I speak he is VERY quiet in the other room???? SHHHH I'll go and have a look..........................

It's a fish shape and very complicated. I must admit I am a 4 corners type of girl and was a wee bit confused with the pieces that didn't seem to have the traditional innies and outies. Sounds as tho am talking about bellybuttons doesn't...

OK.......... Where has January gone?? Before we know it we will be half way thru the year :laugh1: :cry:

Well my friends how are you all today?

The week has gone really quickly, me poor old poetry mind is still all dried up, I tried to start one the other day but the problem is finishing it!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we are off to The Trafford Centre for some retail therapy. Actually I think the only reason we go is to have a yummy coffee and a thick 'Mars Bar' cake followed later on with a pig out at La Tasca, Tapas Bar.

I hope you have had a good January and survived all of the snow. All I have wanted to do is sit by the fire and keep warm so I haven't been on the site much. Well here we are the first day of not only the year but a new decade!!!

I hope you all had a super christmas and are now getting in gear to start a new year and all that it brings.

I still keep hearing that word Snow and when we look over to the lakeland hills we can see snowy mountain tops! Very picturesque, at a distance.

Today we went into town, one or two shops open and quite a few out braving the bitter wind off the sea.

This afternoon I think I will hog the fire ready for a 6 oclock start tomorrow.

Morning All! Bit of time since I blogged but you know how it is!!!

I can't believe that Christmas is almost upon us and I haven't really got to grips with the fact. The Dreaded cards are still to buy never mind write, I can't think of anything to buy for the young men in my life (sounds good doesn't it) at least Granny has got her 2 little grandies their presents.

We had a lovely meal last night, I had pork chop and hubby had pizza.

Sign of the times, we went for the early bird and when we came out at 7 I was ready for bed :laugh1: :laugh1: We went to bed almost that early on our honeymoon after going to the pictures(cinema) to see Ice Station Zebra. You youngsters won't remember that film :laugh1: :laugh1:

Today is 'our day off' our one day of the week where Granny and Grampy( Mum and Dad) have the day to themselves. Inbetween having our lovely girls and work!! Ofcourse in this life we never know when we will be needed so I suppose you could say we are on call :laugh1: :laugh1:

Do you know there are only 37 days to Christmas , I have been reliably informed by some flashing section of some web pages I was reading

It's a few days since i blogged so thought i would say Hello to all.

Today is a grim day as I suppose it is for all of you out there. The weather is ..........., the days are long and dark, and you need to sit ON the fire to get warm.

We have been told to look forward to rain, rain, and more rain, so that's something to look forward to :laugh1:

Our wedding Anniversary tomorrow, so the day will be a good one whatever the weather :laugh1:
