Writing for pleasure

Hi, I'm Tiggee and have been writing poetry since I was a girl, although much of that early teenage angst makes me cringe now when I read it; yet somehow I can't bring myself to throw it away.
I was lucky enough to find this site when it was fairly new, so I've had months of enjoyment. What I like about it is that everyone is so friendly and I very much like reading other people's poems and certainly appreciate the comments they make on mine. However, the best bit about this site for me is that it has been an inspiration to keep writing because I log in nearly everyday and, therefore, everyday I am thinking about poetry!
One of the things that I have enjoyed working on is the Writing Tips Forum. I thought that some members might like to browse that area which gives details about some of the various techniques that poets use.
