PostSHORT STORY COMPETITION AGENDA 2010

January ~ February.


Using the sentence as your starting point for your story, finish it off in 2,000 words or less.

She
knelt down to pick up the envelope which had dropped on to the doormat
and, with trembling hands, ripped it open and unfolded a sheet of paper.



March ~ April.

This competition will be members own choice of theme.


May ~ June.

A day in the life of? Your story can be about an animate or an inanimate object.


July ~ August.

This competition will be members own choice of theme.


September ~ October.

Look at the picture that I will post prior to this competition and
write a story, using it as your inspiration. Don’t go for the obvious
but be as imaginative as possible and think how the image tells your
story.


November ~December.

There will be two themes you can choose from in this competition, or you can write


1. Write a story containing the word ‘Christmas’.
2. Write a story with a theme of your own choice.
