When I write messages or poetry in my blog I can send the message to various networks like twitter and facebook.

I have been trying this out from time to time and find i get a lot of hits on each topic. With each hit i seem to get more followers on twitter. I now have over 650 followers on twitter since i have been sending blog posts to them.

I do not really understand the purpose of twitter but it is definately a way to promote stuff. So for any poem you might send to social networks you will get a lot of readers. I'm not sure how many will coment, but certainly a lot will view. Also for every member that sends a message to twitter will get lots of hits and this is good for poetry and friends as the forum will be seen by many people.
