NIGHT VISION by Mike ~ The stars came down on us that night creating a low ceiling, We tasted mists of morning reeling through the pines. A spark from some untended pyre burned truly in the middle air. Once stoked finely by the host of human tread, It bled, refined into a rapier before our eyes. The Points of the Compass

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

The most southerly point in this wonderful land
Is The Lizard or Land’s End
Surrounded by blue seas and sand
Its charm and beauty into one do blend

The most westerly point Ardnamurchan Point, Argyll
With the lighthouse looking out to mountains and sea
Twixt the islands of Eigg, Mull and Skye to beguile
A place of true peace and tranquillity.

The most northern point is Dunnet Head
(John o Groats to you and me)
The wild rugged beauty of this coast
Is a must for all to visit and see

The most easterly part of this great country
Is The Ness on the edge of the Sunrise Coast
Gulliver the tallest Wind Turbine in the UK
Is just one of the things it can boast.

The morning sunshine rises in the east
A truly wonderful sight to behold
Rare blue throats and Redstarts live and nest here
Making their beautiful eggs rarer than gold

The Sunrise Coast has a beauty all of its own
Sun rising over the ocean a sight to behold,
This has to be the jewel in the crown
Suffolk’s best kept secret I am told.

Fascinating to read ...made me get the atlas out to look up the places mentioned....we certainly live in a diverse country
