Little Tommy Tucker
On a morning dark and dismal
A cardboard box was found
At the gates of the rescue centre
And it held but not a sound
---------
The box was opened with caution
The contents were not known
It took a while to realise
What it was they had found
--------
He was quite dirty and smelly
And looked an awful mess
But after a bath they realised
Just who he was at best!
--------
He was Tommy Tucker - a sheltie
And poor little soul was blind
He did have the waggyist tail though
He was such a good find!
--------
He came to stay with us
In the twilight of his years
He gave us oh so much of his love
And was so loyal until the end!
--------
