BEAUTIFUL NIGHT by Sunshine - Its dark and cold not much light So I find my joy in the sky to night A big round moon with his face so bright Giving us warmth on this winter night Beautiful stars that sparkle and shine All most stand still as if lost in time Such a beautiful place this world can be If we look around the wonders we see Night has its beauty as much as the day The silence a bonus as we here the trees sway And as the world sleeps I await the new day Praying and dreaming of love ones far away. ~ Written by Sunshine.......

PostGood morning Thursday

Good morning all

A day for 'battening down the hatches' - a very red sky was to be seen in North Yorkshire so not a good sign. We have a caravan up next to the River Eden - whoops - they are on flood alert! A few years ago it went 'sailing' down the field (some actually went down the river!) luckily we managed to salvage it. Fingers crossed it doesn't go for a 'sail' over the next 48 hours otherwise no holiday home!

Enjoy your day whatever you may be doing. Stay safe!

Oh Cath my fingers and toes are crossed for you!!

What do you do just sit and pray or can you go and empty it before anything happems?

I suppose caravans have to be insured or is it a total loss when this happens??

Please no one in the North Sing we don't want any more rain.

Morning all

Hi Sue - no the caravan isn't insured as it went for a 'sail' a few years ago and Insurance companies aren't interested so it will be just a loss if it has gone. We haven't heard anything but we are keeping an eye on the flood alerts. We will probably be giving the farmer a call later today. Hope he is safe - his house last time was flooded to the first floor .

Hi Suzie - I have just been watching the news and it looks horrendous over in Cumbria. How frightening for all those concerned.
